This is a fresh start for the Omega Rangers who are easily my favorite team of the franchise, and it looks like Power Rangers is gonna be all about their space adventures, while Mighty Morphin is gonna focus on the classic Rangers on planet Earth。 Both titles had very cool stories, and their timelines are now in synch, unlike the two previous series that were all over the place, so that's a big positive for me。 I think the art style on this first volume was better than MM, but I'm not really dig This is a fresh start for the Omega Rangers who are easily my favorite team of the franchise, and it looks like Power Rangers is gonna be all about their space adventures, while Mighty Morphin is gonna focus on the classic Rangers on planet Earth。 Both titles had very cool stories, and their timelines are now in synch, unlike the two previous series that were all over the place, so that's a big positive for me。 I think the art style on this first volume was better than MM, but I'm not really digging the new space vampires, the Horrids, and the Omegas came out a bit moronic with that Drakkon move, but hey, he's already adding a lot of fun to the narrative, so I can live with that。 。。。more

I'm far less interested in what the Omega Rangers are doing than what the Mighty Morphin team is up to。 That makes this series a bit of a harder slog for me。 It's had some good ideas! Going to the Shattered Grid universe, Onyx, etc。 all have the making of a really interesting story。 But we kinda keep hitting roadblocks, like the Horrid (which, I get, cause that story shows where Drakkon is now), and the most interesting ideas all seem waylaid more often than not。 But it's entertaining, but maybe I'm far less interested in what the Omega Rangers are doing than what the Mighty Morphin team is up to。 That makes this series a bit of a harder slog for me。 It's had some good ideas! While Mighty Morphin' hits that MMPR vibe, Power Rangers follows the Omega Rangers into space, and wastes no time in invoking In Space vibes as a result。 Throw in Lord Drakkon for funsies and you're in for a good time。The Omega Rangers and Drakkon head out into the universe to try and track down the big threat of the Unlimited Power era, the Empyreals。 It takes a little to get off the ground, starting with a bit of a prison break-esque issue to liberate Lord Drakkon from under Zordon's nose, but While Mighty Morphin' hits that MMPR vibe, Power Rangers follows the Omega Rangers into space, and wastes no time in invoking In Space vibes as a result。 Throw in Lord Drakkon for funsies and you're in for a good time。The Omega Rangers and Drakkon head out into the universe to try and track down the big threat of the Unlimited Power era, the Empyreals。 It takes a little to get off the ground, starting with a bit of a prison break-esque issue to liberate Lord Drakkon from under Zordon's nose, but then we're off and running。 If you enjoyed the later arcs of the Go Go series with Omega Rangers, this is literally just more of the same; we've even still got Go Go artist Francesco Mortarino on deck to draw it。It's hard to talk too much about this book - I've been singing the praises of all of the Boom! Power Rangers books since they started, and they're surprisingly consistent。 This relaunch hasn't lost any of that magic at all, and instead seems to be embracing the wider Power Rangers world in a way that the line hasn't since Shattered Grid。 。。。more

The Omega rangers have a new mission to stop the Empyreals and so they ask Zordon for help but then it becomes a mission about breaking out Drakkon and on the run and then battling different monsters particularly the horrids who are these space vampires and there is a great moment for Trini and Drakkon there and then they come across some weird Drakkon prison planet and its an escape from that world, strange cosmic adventures while they are looking for Empyreals! This is a really fascinating take on the Power Rangers idea and concept。 It’s what I would’ve wanted the series, “Power Rangers in Space” to be。 Power Rangers going from planet to planet and doing their thing。What separates this book from the main “Mighty Morphin” title is it is not tied to series continuity so it enables it to kind of do more experimental stories (see also: “The Horde” arc ala in the style of Alien) that the Mighty Morphin title can’t do。I really like the take that Ryan Parrott This is a really fascinating take on the Power Rangers idea and concept。 It’s what I would’ve wanted the series, “Power Rangers in Space” to be。 Power Rangers going from planet to planet and doing their thing。What separates this book from the main “Mighty Morphin” title is it is not tied to series continuity so it enables it to kind of do more experimental stories (see also: “The Horde” arc ala in the style of Alien) that the Mighty Morphin title can’t do。I really like the take that Ryan Parrott takes with it。 Another thing that makes this series interesting is most of the characters might not make it out。 Drakkon included, who is a fine addition to the Ranger team。 I’m interested to see his journey in the series。Excited for more! 。。。more
